Celebrating publication day!
So excited to share Who Shot Jackson Brodie? with you
It’s here! So thrilled to have the second in my Little Bookshop of Murders mystery series out now!
Who Shot Jackson Brodie?
Huge thanks to everyone at Chimney’s Publishing who has worked with me to bring to you this latest slice of cosy crime. And thanks to Holly Astle for another amazing cover. I could not be more proud!

This time Keera learns of a cold case double murder that happened in the sleepy village of Crossways where she runs her bookshop. It was called an impossible crime. But once Keera learns that two newcomers to Crossways lost their lives the night they arrived, she cannot help but start digging for the truth. And where Keera starts to investigate, chaos and trouble inevitably follow.

Would you like to meet some of the characters?
Keera Munroe
Keera is running away from a past she’s secretive about, looking for a fresh start and following her dream. She opens a bookshop, Between the Lines, in an idyllic village.
Only her nose for justice follows her, as does trouble. Even in the small village of Crossways, Keera soon finds she’s embroiled in a cold case that the police gave up on as it seemed an impossible crime. And when Keera starts to ask questions, suddenly Crossways no longer seems the quaint, lovely village it appears to be.
Liv Trent
Keera under-estimates what’s involved in making a successful bookshop and relies heavily on volunteer help, particularly from Liv Trent, who’s older, wiser, better connected and better-dressed than Keera. Liv brings a sound business brain, even though she prefers to fill her life with lively lunches. She also brings her level head to Keera’s sometimes chaotic and impulsive approach when she gets drawn into the many mysteries of Crossways.
Elliott Trent is Liv’s son and also in the local police. He annoys Keera by trying to warn her off her amateur sleuthing. But her bookshop is the heart of gossip in Crossways and Keera suspects Elliott sneakily envies how she never has to play by any rules when she sets out to seek the truth. And she thinks she annoys him as she often works out what’s really going on ahead of Elliott and the police.
Mitch Ravenscroft is a retired copper who tries to get Keera to support his soon-to-be published memoir. But as the book features a double murder in Crossways, not everyone’s keen to have everything dug up again. Mitch moved from the Met just as the double murder happened. But does he have his own agenda for getting involved?
Lily Somers is new to Crossway and opens a popular deli next to Between the Lines. But she claims to be the victim of unpleasant happenings. Are there people in Crossways who don’t like incomers? Or has Lily got her own secrets to hide?
Verity Anderson is another who has come to Crossways to escape her past. She’s staying with her Grandma in what she thinks is the dullest village ever. Verity thinks the most fun she is going to have is investigating the case of an injured cat. But soon the very least of her troubles is Who Shot Jackson Brodie? A true-crime fan, the idea of being involved in the reopening of a cold case means Verity seizes a chance to redeem herself and finally win her grandma’s approval. Even though Verity feels her grandma is behaving strangely. But she can trust Grandma, can’t she?
Bookgroup Investigates. Keera’s crime fiction bookgroup decides they cannot pass on the chance to solve a real crime. And in Crossways, suddenly there are plenty of crimes to choose from.
I really hope you enjoy being back in Keera’s bookshop world!
Thank you all so much for your support for the first in my new series and move into writing crime fiction. I really hope you all enjoy Who Shot Jackson Brodie? just as much.
And just to remind you, if you’re a digital reader, there’s a limited time offer to read the first in the series for less than the price of … well anything really. What else can 99p buy you?
And I am speaking excitedly about my new book at Mostly Books in Abingdon in a week’s time if you want to find out more!

Happy publication day everyone!!
Nicki
